COLOMBO, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka's total exports for November 2024, including merchandise and services, were recorded at 1.2 billion U.S. dollars, according to the country's export development board (EDB) on Monday.
This data reflected a marginal increase of 0.04 percent compared to the same period in 2023, said the EDB.
Quoting data from Sri Lanka customs, the EDB said the merchandise export performance in November 2024 amounted to 943 million U.S. dollars, reflecting a 5.6 percent decline compared to November 2023.
This decrease is primarily attributed to reduced earnings from exports of rubber-based products, electrical and electronic components, food and beverages and seafood, the EDB said.
Services exports for the reporting month were estimated at 326 million U.S. dollars, reflecting a 20.89 percent increase over the corresponding period of 2023. ■
